Prevention
is the best medicine
Regular eye examinations are important in detecting retinal diseases like macular
degeneration and diabetic retinopathy because the first symptoms often go unnoticed.
Like with glaucoma, early detection of macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy
may prevent or delay further vision loss, since treatment is only effective when
started early. |
