Understanding
cataracts |
| |
A cataract is a clouding of
the eye's normally clear lens. The cloudy lens scatters
light and makes it hard for the eye to focus light into
a clear image. As the cataract gets worse, your eye has
a harder time focusing. This can cause blurred vision,
glare and faded colors. |

cataracts |

In the months following cataract
surgery, the membrane supporting the implanted artificial
lens may become clouded. This can be treated, in a few
minutes, using a Yag laser. |
