The Implantable Conctact
Lens (ICL)
ICL is a soft lens designed to be implanted through a small corneal incision.
As with the Verisyse lens, the procedure does not last more than 15 minutes and
the eye is frozen using anesthetic eye drops only. Because the lens is
placed behind the iris, it is not visible in the eye. |

** The goal of any refractive procedure is
to reduce your dependence on glasses. After surgery, you may
still need to wear glasses for some activities.
Although complications are rare, they can never be ruled out completely. Possible
complications include reduced vision, halos around lights, infection, inflammation
and dry eyes. |
