Before
the surgery day: |
| |
Start 3 days before surgery:
- No make-up for ladies.
- Start the eye drops.
|

| The
day of the surgery: |
| |
- No perfume or cologne.
- No make-up for ladies.
- Wear comfortable clothes.
- Do not eat 2 hours before surgery.
- Take all your medication
as usual, except those for diabetes.
- Do not forget to bring
your eye care kit.

| After the surgery: |
| |
- Make sure someone could bring you back
home.
- You have to go to bed early.
- Keep the protective eye shield
until the next morning.

| For the next 24
hours: |
| |
- No shower, no TV, no reading and no computer.
- It’s normal to have blurred vision and burning sensation.
|
| |
| Next
morning: |
| |
- Take off the eye shield.
- Clean your face
gently with a clean humid cloth, without rubbing your eye.
- Put
your eye drops.
- You have to wear the protective glasses when
you go outside (sun, dust, wind, etc) for one week.

| Recommendations: |
| |
For a period of 4 weeks:
- Avoid sun.
- Do not touch or rub your
eyes
|
| |
For
a period of 2 weeks:
- No make-up.
- No swimming.
- No sports.
- Avoid smoke and dust.
- Avoid contact with animals.
