Refractive surgery aims to correct vision problems in order to reduce or eliminate the need to wear glasses or contact lenses. The Montreal Eye Clinic has the capacity to offer a range of refractive surgeries. This advantage allows the surgeon to review with each patient the various surgical options indicated for their specific problems, in order to choose the most appropiate treatment.

When laser surgery is not indicated, other refractive surgeries can be considered, like implanting an intraocular contact lens in persons under age 45, or implanting an intraocular multifunctional Array lens in persons age 50 and more.

The main refractive surgeries are:

  1. laser vision correction;
  2. contact lens implantation;
  3. presbyopic lens exchange;
  4. cataract refractive surgery.
